STAR Electronic Diagnostics
Like Mercedes Benz, we use the same electronic diagnostic equipment they use, so rest assured, our work will be carried out to the same standard as Mercedes and your car will be assessed according to Mercedes protocols.
Unlike Mercedes-benz, we charge a lesser fee for an electronic diagnostic. Our Fees start from £90+VAT. Unfortunately, electronic diagnosis is not a foolproof solution. It serves as a useful starting point for identifying issues, but often the results only point to a secondary failure rather than the primary cause. Consequently, further investigative work may be required even after an electronic diagnosis.
An electronic diagnostic provides an initial basis for identifying a car’s fault. After evaluating the computer’s readings, the technician will determine whether the issue can be resolved or if further diagnostics are needed, and inform the customer accordingly. The diagnostic is not part of a Mercedes A or B service and so will incur an extra charge if you want to carry out both services.
