STAR Electronic Diagnostics
Like Mercedes-Benz, we use the same advanced electronic diagnostic equipment, ensuring your car is assessed to Mercedes standards. However, unlike Mercedes-Benz, our diagnostics start from just £100+VAT. While electronic diagnosis is a valuable first step in identifying issues, it may sometimes indicate a secondary fault rather than the root cause—so further investigation might be needed. This service is separate from Mercedes A or B servicing and will incur an additional charge if done alongside either.
MOT
By law, vehicles over three years old must have a valid MOT certificate issued by the Ministry of Transport. The MOT test, carried out by a DVSA-authorised examiner, ensures your car meets safety and emissions standards and is roadworthy. However, it does not assess the overall mechanical condition of the vehicle. If your car passes, you’ll receive a certificate and a list of any minor issues needing future attention. If it fails, you’ll be given details of major or dangerous faults—and if these can be fixed on-site, you may qualify for a free re-test.
